ABOUT VALOIS FEST

 

The International Festival VALOIS FEST is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Ninette de Valois, an outstanding choreographer and teacher. Within the framework of the Festival, there will be a Dance Contest, Round table, Historical and Art Exhibition about the life and work of Ninette de Valois. The festival is aimed at supporting talented youth, popularizing theatrical, musical, and choreographic art.

PARTICIPANTS, PARTNERS AND HONORARY GUESTS

 

PARTICIPANTS: Young dancers, students of choreographic academies, schools, studios and other organizations are invited to participate in VALOIS FEST.
PARTNERS: Companies, cultural institutions, state and public organizations are invited as partners of VALOIS FEST.
HONORARY GUESTS: Well-known figures in the field of Choreography, Theatre, Music, representatives of Partner Companies and other organizations are invited as honored guests of VALOIS FEST.
Famous figures of World Culture supported events in honor of Ninette de Valois.

 

CONTEST

 

VALOIS FEST includes a Dance Contest for Young Dancers (ON-LINE). Students of ballet and dance schools, studios and other institutions are invited to participate in the Contest. Young dancers aged 6-9 years old (first age group), 10-13 years old (second age group), 14-16 years old (third age group) can take part in the Contest. Acceptance of applications and video recordings of performances for the Contest from 01/01/2023 to 10/31/2023

NOMINATIONS

The Contest is held in the following categories: CLASSICAL DANCE, MODERN DANCE, CHARACTER DANCE, FOLK DANCE. Each participant of the Contest can take part in any number of nominations.

VALOIS FEST MEDAL

By decision of the Organizing Committee, participants, partners, honored guests of the Festival and the Dance Contest can be awarded the VALOIS FEST Memorable Medal.

Each Participant receives:

VALOIS FEST DIPLOMA with the logo of the International Festival and Dance Contest. The Diploma contains Name and Surname of the Participant, the place of study.

VALOIS FEST SOUVENIR. A Memorable Souvenir with the logo of the VALOIS FEST International Festival and Dance Contest. Souvenirs are made with the support of partners. 

 

Directors (teachers, mentors, choreographers) of the Festival participants will be awarded Letters of Appreciation from the organizers of VALOIS FEST.

Awards for the Winners of the Contest include the following prizes:

VALOIS FEST WINNER'S DIPLOMA with the logo of the VALOIS FEST International Festival and Dance Contest with the appointment of I, II, III places (in accordance with the results of participation in the Contest in each Nomination and each Age Group). The Diploma contains Name and Surname of the Participant, the place of study, Nomination and Age Group.


 

VALOIS FEST SOUVENIR. A Memorable Souvenir with the logo of the VALOIS FEST International Festival and Dance Contest. Souvenirs are made with the support of partners. 

VALOIS FEST MEDAL. By decision of the Organizing Committee, the participants of the Festival and the Dance Contest may be awarded the VALOIS FEST Memorable Medal.

THE GRAND PRIX. Participants of the Contest can be awarded the Grand Prix of the Festival - an internship in one of the prestigious choreographic schools (provided by the Partners).

Participants of various Nominations can be awarded with additional prizes and valuable gifts from the Partners of the Festival.
