ARMORY SHOW. NEW YORK
Founded in 2000, the Armory Show "is America's leading fine art fair devoted to the most important art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Every March, artists, galleries, collectors, critics, and curators from all over the world make New York their destination during Armory Arts Week."
The core section of The Armory Show, Galleries features outstanding 20th- and 21st-century artworks presented by leading international galleries. Visitors are invited to discover thousands of artworks spanning movements, mediums, and cultures.
Jamillah James, Curator, Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, curates the 2020 Focus section, devoted to solo- and dual-artist presentations of today’s most relevant and compelling artwork. Projects in this section consider the ways in which artists construct a version of reality or self where the boundaries of fact and fiction are indistinct. Visitors will discover artworks that address notions of alternate and revisionist histories and challenges to received knowledge or truth.
